The East North-South Expressway section Hau Giang - Ca Mau starts at Km53+000, connecting with the end of the project section Can Tho – Hau Giang in Vi Thuy district, Hau Giang province. The end of the project is at Km126+223, connecting with the Southern Coastal Corridor in Thoi Binh district, Ca Mau province. The total length of the route is 73.223 km, with a total investment of about 17.152 trillion VND. The expressway section Hau Giang-Ca Mau, when completed, will have 4 lanes, a road base width of 24.75m, and a design speed of 100km/hour.

The completion of the Hau Giang - Ca Mau Expressway will contribute to improving the traffic network in the region, reducing traffic congestion and accidents; connecting economic centers, new urban areas; creating favorable conditions for localities in planning and urban space development, as well as forming economic zones, industrial clusters, creating development momentum for localities in the Mekong Delta region.
