The Prime Minister’s implication when drawing “profound lessons” from this event is that “resources come from thinking, motivation comes from innovation, and strength comes from the people”. Looking at the case of the My Thuan 2 Bridge, it can be seen that the cable-stayed bridge technology has been learned by Vietnamese engineers through the process of working with foreign countries to build the My Thuan 1 Bridge.

In fact, if we look at this story throughout history, it is like a tradition of the Vietnamese people. From the legend of Trang Bung Phung Khac Khoan bringing corn seeds from China to Vietnam, a professor of agriculture trying to get his shoes muddy when visiting a rice field in a developed country… to the bridges being built by Vietnamese engineers and workers after working with foreign countries, it has proven one thing: “The Vietnamese people never stop learning to develop themselves and serve the prosperity of the country”.

What is worth mentioning is that when Vietnamese people learn about the advancements of advanced science and technology in the world, they always want to bring it back to serve their homeland and country.

Specifically, like farmer Nguyen Van Hat in Hai Duong, after many years of working for hire in Israel, he has created many agricultural machines that make Israelis admire and has returned to his hometown to wish to use his intelligence to serve agriculture. Famous IT engineer Google Duong Ngoc Thai travels back and forth like a shuttle not only to seek business opportunities but also to make important contributions to security work in many places in Vietnam.

It is difficult to list all such examples of Vietnamese people absorbing and learning the achievements of mankind and then continuing to serve the country, no matter where they go. Almost every field still has Vietnamese people with superior thinking and high dedication who have learned, absorbed and developed well the achievements that other countries have achieved.

The Prime Minister said: “Good thinking creates resources, innovation creates motivation”. The story of building bridges has kindled in each of us the hope of creating national resources to serve and connect the joyful shores."
