Vinh Thinh Bridge is the longest permanent steel-reinforced concrete bridge in Vietnam to date, with a length of 5,487m (including a 4,480m long bridge and 1,007m long approach roads on both ends). The Vinh Thinh Bridge construction project has a total investment of 137 million USD (approximately 2,323 billion VND).
The bridge is designed to be permanent with steel-reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete, including 4 lanes with a total width of 16.5m, designed speed of 80km/h. The navigational clearance is 80m wide and 10m high.
The bridge consists of 99 spans, with the main bridge being a balanced cantilever bridge consisting of 7 spans with a diagram of 90 + 5x120 + 90m, a box beam with a sloping wall with a height varying from 7.0 ~ 3.0m. 92 approach spans are superT beams.
The main piers are placed on bored pile foundations with a diameter of 2.0m, a maximum depth of 52m. The approach piers and abutments use bored piles with a diameter of 1.5m.
