Project description: Tra Khuc 1 Bridge was built to replace the old bridge on National Highway 1A. The route direction is adjusted about 11 degrees to the east compared to the old bridge. The total expected investment is about 2,239 billion VND. The design idea of “Tra River’s Mark” is inspired by the once symbolic water wheel of Tra Khuc River. 

The bridge is built permanently with steel and prestressed reinforced concrete with the main span structure in the form of a single-plane cable-stayed bridge with 3 main spans of 186m long, 2 side spans of 60m long, the total bridge length is 594.6m; the cross-section of the bridge is 28m wide, at the pillar position it is expanded to 58.46m (including 4 motor vehicle lanes, 2 mixed lanes, sidewalks, sightseeing platforms). 

The bridge has 3 main pillars made of steel-filled concrete simulating the water wheel of Tra River, the height of the pillar from the bridge surface is 40.5m. The main beam is made of reinforced concrete in the form of a slanted wall box, the beam height is 3.0m. The beam is hung on the cable-stayed system passing over the tower with the distance between the cable suspension points being 8.0m. The lower structure uses bored piles with a diameter of 2m for the main pillar and 1.5m for the guide pillar and pile cap.
