The Ben Rung Bridge, connecting both sides of the Da Bach River, is built at a location about 3.7km upstream from the current Rung ferry, about 4.3km from the Chanh River bridge, and about 6.4km from National Highway 18. The bridge has a unique architecture with three V-shaped towers (Victory) symbolizing the three victories over the Yuan Mongol on the Bach Dang River.

The bridge is 1,865.3m long, in which the main bridge is an Extradosed type with a scheme of 90 + 160 + 160 + 90m, the bridge width is 24.5m, the bridge part includes 34 spans of superT beams (the Hai Phong city side has 14 spans, the Quang Ninh province side has 20 spans), the bridge width is 21.5m.

The main bridge structure is a 2-plane cable type with 3 steel-reinforced concrete towers, the tower height from the bridge surface is 23.3m. The continuous box girder is a sloping wall type with a height varying from 4.8m ~ 2.5m. The main piers and transition piers use bored piles with a diameter of 2.0m. The guide piers and footings use bored piles with diameters of 1.5m and 1.2m.
